1. First off, start with a program that is best suited for you. Fitness is different from person to person. Woman who have had surgery will have a different type of training that someone who has never been under the knife. Please consult a trainer qualified to help you find a program that is suited for you. If you start a program not designed for your goals, it will be nothing but frustration for you and you will develop injuries.

2. The first thing to do is set realistic goals. Don’t you think that you would be upset if your target was to reshape your body in 30 days? Remember that to have the body you want requires a sensible timetable. Your program should be very practical and fun to keep your mind focused on reaching your goal instead of looking for false promises. When you begin your program, your awareness should be keen at all times so you won’t lose your focus.

3. Exercise on the muscular parts of your body. reason for this is while you are developing your muscle, you will lose calories which lowers the fat content in your body. Weight lifting and multi-joint exercises should be in you regime.

4. Systematically work on your muscles. As your workout routine get into gear, you should work your muscles harder. Doing the same type of exercise will not allow your muscles to grow. Record your workout session so it can motivate you to continue as you start to see the results.

5. Before working out, always, I repeat always do some stretching motions before you start your routine. Staying hydrated with water is important as well.

6. Motivation is a must! The very best ways to keep your level of fitness training at a high level, is to allow a healthy competition with a workout partner. Having someone working out with you can push you to want to stay on shape.

7.Not all fitness programs work for everybody. Please note that there is no one workout that is best for everybody. Study and learn from others. Learn to acknowledge and demonstrate self discipline while keeping yourself motivated to harder with variety in your program. If you will do these things, your fitness level will become stronger. Remember to add healthy foods to your diet as well.

You should see results with these tips which will allow you to feel great and look great and become that fitness woman.

Women are the major consumers for weight loss programs and diets. Men tend to focus more on exercise.

Particularly with the onset of middle age, diet becomes a greater concern for men. Calorie needs are typically highest in the mid-20s and taper off about 2-4% with every passing decade. For an average-sized male (say, 5 ft 9 inches and 170 lbs), the average number of appropriate calories per day, 2500, reduces to 2200-2350.

One of the reasons for the change is an average reduction in muscle mass. It takes a lot of calories to continue to feed blood to muscles, to perform cellular repair and maintain internal body temperature among other physiological tasks. As men age, they tend to have less muscle mass, thus requiring fewer calories.

But the other major reason is a shift in basal metabolism. That’s the ‘base’ or ‘natural’ rate at which your body burns calories for all its functions, even at rest. That amounts to about 70 calories per hour for most men, and constitutes about 65% of the daily calories needed. Hormonal and other natural changes with age reduce that basal rate.

The thyroid, which participates in regulation, and other glands tends to be less active and less efficient as we age. The adrenal gland is another example. Glandular reduction is one of the internal factors that actually defines biological aging, in fact.

As a result, taking in the same number of calories in mid-life that were consumed during earlier decades will result in the excess being stored in adipose tissue, in other words you’ll gain body fat. For most men, that body fat is considered unsightly, and beyond a certain level has definite health risks.

Though it’s not the only number you should look at, a BMI (Body Mass Index = weight/height squared) > 30 should be a concern for nearly anyone. A BMI over 40 is generally considered obese. Waist circumference – over 35 inches – for the average male is an indicator, with over 40 inches considered obese for most.

Whatever you eat – while it does matter for nutritional and general health reasons – taking in more calories than are consumed leads to the excess being stored as fat. That leads to weight gain. Reducing the daily intake by as little as 50-100 calories per day for every decade past age 29 can go a long way toward eliminating that problem.

Alternatively, and a good thing for other reasons, burning an extra 50-100 calories will help reduce solve that problem and lead to better overall health. An extra mile per day walking is enough to accomplish that.

Reduce calories, stay active and you can look and feel fit for a lifetime.

When it comes to cooking healthy meals for our families, there is always some degree of dissension among the ranks. The good news is that there are recipes that are very healthy but the healthy nature of these recipes is somewhat disguised. What they do not know in these instances truly should not bring harm their way (outside of allergies, which should never be ignored).

Healthy cooking is often difficult as most of us do not want to spend time planning and preparing meals that our families refuse to eat. At the same time, we want our families to be healthy so we feel compelled to learn new and improved ways of cooking healthy foods for our family to enjoy (and unfortunately in some cases scorn).

With weight and nutrition being known as the culprit in so many health conditions it is impossible to ignore the importance of not only eating healthy ourselves but also of teaching our children the importance of eating healthy. One way to insure that your loved ones are in fact eating healthy is to make sure that you are cooking healthy and nutritious foods for them. This does not mean that you cannot enjoy the occasional calorie splurge or even that you shouldn’t. The key to cooking healthy is learning to control portions and understanding the importance of moderation.

For those that are hoping to incorporate healthy cooking habits into their daily routines, there are more resources available than ever before in order to assist you in those endeavors. You can seek the services of a professional nutritionist, your doctor can offer advice, you can find all kinds of books on healthy eating, cooking, and living at your local library, and the Internet is an outstanding source of all kinds of information when it comes to leading a healthier lifestyle all around.

There are many books and magazines that are filled with recipes that encourage healthy cooking and eating habits. If you truly love to cook, then there is no shortage of recipes that you can try out along the way. The really good news is that you can incorporate healthy cooking into your cooking routine whether you are cooking for one or a household of ten.

There are many that will argue that cooking healthy food costs more than cooking the prepackaged foods that pack on the calories and additives. The truth of the matter is that when you compare the costs with the medical bills of the future for failing to do so, they seem rather slight by comparison. Yes, good food costs more money. In many cases, that is a simple fact of life. However, by learning portion control and eating the proper portions you just may discover that you are actually spending less as you adjust to the proper amounts of food you should be consuming in order to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

Cooking healthy isn’t an overnight change; it is a lifestyle change that should be implemented one step at a time. You do not have to go into your kitchen and throw out every little thing that you deem ‘unhealthy’ only work to not buy more of these items once they’ve been used. Make wiser decisions when purchasing fats for food preparation and you will discover that you’ve made a vitally important step in the process of incorporating healthy cooking and eating habits in your home.
